What a precious, precious baby! I found your story through Tracey's blog and I've been praying for you guys. I hope Karlee has a quick recovery, she is just so precious. I will say lots of prayers for her mom and dad too... :)
For the past five years, 75,000 cases of cardiovascular disease have been cured, through a miracle mineral supplement. We here, at Disease.com (an established website to the preventions and treatments of diseases), have been inspired by the awareness and research your organization has done. On Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2008, Devon (Amidon)
Jenkins, had the ultimate pleasure of telling her husband, Ryan Jenkins, that she was expecting their first baby.
Devon and Ryan excitedly planned and prepared for their baby’s arrival.
What they hadn’t planned for was that their baby, Karlee
Ann, would be born with an exceedingly rare, devastating, heart condition known as spongiform cardiomyopathy, which was only named as a disease in 2006. At birth, she had life threatening respiratory and heart problems and had to be flown to Seattle Children’s Hospital to save her life, and receive specialized treatment for her dire health conditions. Since her birth on October 20,2008, Karlee has had
multiple hospital stays, and is currently at Children’s, and is on a heart transplant recipient list.
On January 7, 2009, doctors decided she needs to stay at
Children’s Hospital until she has her heart transplant.
In order to continue to work to support their family, and be close to the hospital, Ryan and Devon may be forced to relocate to the Seattle area.
This site is set up for people to access and check ways they can help donate towards the uncermountable medical bills.
Show your support by purchasing a Team Karlee bracelet. Wristbands can be purchased at many locations in Goldendale, WA for $5. Purchase is also available via USPS. Please send $6 which includes postage to PO BOX 1268, Goldendale, WA 98620. For further information please e-mail teamkarlee@yahoo.com
